Our home grown horror director Jimmy Cheng's 'Patient X' has been chosen in-competition at the London Short Film Festival. The film shall be screened alongside a host of slightly twisted shorts including the aclaimed 'Your the stranger here' in the 'After Midnight' catagory throughout January, with the best film being awarded on the 14th.

Jimmy and producer Rob Fairhurst take us into a world of sickening cruelty with a story that focuses on a sadistic careworker entrusted to look after a severely mentally impaired paraplegic in his own home.

Jimmy's inspiration for Patient X came from watching a documentary that exposed carers & nurses, neglecting and abusing the elderly and infirm. "The program made me think about what could drive a person to be so callous & uncompassionate. We are really happy to be chosen in competition and to find an audience at the LSFF”.
